Switzerland isn’t just a destination for me, it’s home. Even though I’ve traveled far and wide, there’s something about the air here, the crispness of the Alps, the smell of melted cheese and pine trees, that instantly grounds me. Born in Switzerland, I’ve been lucky to experience the country both as a local and a traveler, and every visit feels like rediscovering a part of myself. Zurich, my gateway city, is where modern Switzerland shows its sleekest face. It's businesslike by day, buzzing with banks and innovation, but surprisingly vibrant once you scratch the surface. I’ve wandered along the Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world’s most exclusive shopping streets, ducked into quiet art galleries in Kreis 5, and caught sunsets over Lake Zurich with gelato in hand. Zurich’s food scene is thriving, from traditional Zürcher Geschnetzeltes to creative Michelin-starred surprises. And I’ll never get tired of hopping on a tram and watching the city’s calm precision unfold like clockwork. From city to mountains, Grindelwald is the definition of an alpine dream. Nestled in the Bernese Alps, it's one of my favorite places to reconnect with nature and breathe deeply. In winter, I’ve skied the runs beneath the Eiger’s towering north face, and in summer, I’ve hiked for hours through wildflower-dotted meadows where cowbells echo in the distance. The First Cliff Walk gave me one of the most exhilarating views I’ve ever experienced, standing on a suspended walkway, surrounded by glaciers and silence. Grindelwald has a raw beauty that humbles you, no matter how many times you visit. Not far away is Interlaken, perfectly placed between lakes Thun and Brienz. It’s long been a hub for adventurers, and for good reason. I’ve paraglided over the turquoise lakes, rafted wild rivers, and hiked trails that make you feel like you’re in a movie. There’s always an energy in Interlaken, maybe it’s the adrenaline in the air, or maybe it’s the people who gather here from all over the world to chase peaks and thrills. When I needed to wind down, I’d take a lake cruise or just grab rösti at a chalet-style restaurant with a view of the Jungfrau massif. Then there’s Montreux, my lakeside escape on the shores of Lake Geneva. It feels almost Mediterranean here, with palm trees lining the promenade and jazz music drifting from open cafés. I’ve spent evenings sipping local wine from Lavaux’s vineyards, and mornings exploring Chillon Castle, one of the most stunning historic sites in the country. Montreux also knows how to put on a show, the Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the best I’ve attended, blending world-class music with mountain views that leave you speechless.Switzerland is an outdoor playground in every season. In winter, I live for the slopes, whether it's carving fresh powder in the Jungfrau region, snowshoeing through silent forests, or sipping mulled wine after a day on the pistes. And when the snow melts, the hiking begins. Some of my most memorable adventures have come with a backpack, hiking hut-to-hut across ridgelines where ibex graze and glaciers glitter in the distance. And the trains? Pure magic. Nowhere else is getting around part of the experience like it is here. I’ve taken the Glacier Express and the GoldenPass Line, curling through valleys and over viaducts with scenery so beautiful it doesn’t look real. It’s slow travel at its finest—every window a painting, every ride a memory.Swiss cuisine might surprise you. Yes, there’s fondue and raclette (which I adore), but there’s also creamy Zuger Kirschtorte, fresh lake fish, buttery rosti, and robust mountain cheeses you won’t find anywhere else. Add in regional wines, crisp and minerally from alpine terroirs, and you’ve got a culinary scene that’s as diverse as the landscape.Switzerland isn’t just where I’m from, it’s where I go to feel most alive. It’s a country that invites you to explore, to breathe deeper, to slow down. And every time I return, I find something new to fall in love with all over again.

Vietnam, a land of dramatic landscapes, rich culture, and mouthwatering food, is a country that truly captures the heart. From the misty mountains of the North to the sunny beaches in the South, every corner of Vietnam has a story to tell. My adventure began in the far north and slowly moved southward, and the experience was unforgettable. My journey kicked off in Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its emerald waters and towering limestone islands. I boarded a cruise boat and sailed through calm waters surrounded by towering karsts. As I ventured deeper into the bay, I couldn’t help but marvel at the mystical beauty of the area, each island had its own legend. I spent the day kayaking through caves, exploring hidden lagoons, and soaking in breathtaking views. If there’s one place in Vietnam that feels like another world, it’s definitely Ha Long Bay.Next up was Hanoi, Vietnam’s historic capital. The city felt like a vibrant mix of the old and the new, where French colonial architecture blends with ancient temples and bustling markets. I wandered the streets of the Old Quarter, where every corner offered new discoveries, whether it was a cozy café serving traditional egg coffee or a street vendor grilling fresh Bánh Mì. Hanoi’s rich history was palpable, especially when I visited Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple of Literature, which took me back to Vietnam’s ancient roots. The energy of the city was contagious, and I was constantly on the go, trying to experience every moment. From Hanoi, I flew to Da Nang, a city offering a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Da Nang is often overshadowed by its more famous neighbors, but it quickly became one of my favorites. My Khe Beach was a haven of tranquility, perfect for a relaxing stroll. What truly amazed me were the Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills, with their giant “hands” holding the bridge up against a backdrop of mist-covered mountains. I also visited the ancient Marble Mountains, where I hiked to the top and was rewarded with sweeping views of the coastline. Da Nang is an underrated gem, offering everything from historical sites to futuristic architecture.A short trip from Da Nang took me to Hoi An, one of the most charming towns in Vietnam. The UNESCO World Heritage Old Town felt like stepping back in time. The streets were lined with yellow-painted colonial buildings, ancient temples, and lanterns hanging from every corner. Walking through this town felt like wandering through a living museum, and I couldn’t get enough of its timeless charm. I spent my days browsing tailor shops, where I got a custom-made suit, and exploring old temples and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Hoi An’s night markets, glowing with colorful lanterns, provided the perfect end to each day, making it feel like I was living inside a postcard. After Hoi An, I headed south to Nha Trang, Vietnam’s premier beach destination. Known for its beautiful coastline, Nha Trang was my haven for relaxation. The clear blue waters and golden sandy beaches stretched out for miles, making it an ideal spot to unwind. One of the highlights was visiting the Po Nagar Cham Towers, which provided a glimpse into the region’s rich history and culture. I also indulged in the famous mud baths, which are a must-try for any visitor. The warm mineral mud and hot springs left me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed, ready to explore more of what Vietnam had to offer. Finally, my journey ended in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam’s bustling southern metropolis. The city’s energy was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. I spent my first day exploring Ben Thanh Market, where I bargained for everything from silk scarves to local snacks. The War Remnants Museum was a sobering but important experience that gave me insight into Vietnam’s turbulent history. I also took a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where I got a first-hand look at how the Viet Cong lived during the war. At night, the city transformed into a neon wonderland. Bui Vien Street was buzzing with life, street food vendors, and local music, perfect for a night out. I also visited the Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace, offering a glimpse into the city’s colonial past.My trip through Vietnam was a whirlwind of culture, history, adventure, and unforgettable moments. Each city offered something new, whether it was the scenic beauty of Ha Long Bay, the ancient streets of Hanoi, the modern charm of Da Nang, the traditional beauty of Hoi An, the beach vibes of Nha-Trang, or the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam has a way of capturing your soul, and I left the country with a deep appreciation for its people, its history, and its beauty. If you’re thinking about exploring Vietnam, take your time, there’s so much to discover in every corner of this incredible country.
