One of my memorable trips was my first Oceania Cruise departing from Mumbai and ending in Bangkok. I was a bit nervous about taking a 14 day cruise after Covid, but was pleasantly surprised. We were 3 couples travelling. 

We travelled to Mumbai a few days prior to embarkation so we could explore the rich culture and breathtaking landscape of this diverse city. We were greeted by the mesmerizing chaos of the streets, the aroma of street food filling the air, and the warm smiles of the locals. 

I had visited Mumbai 9 years previously and was very surprised at how much the city had changed, in a positive way, of course.  We marveled at the architectural wonders, such as the iconic Gateway of India and stayed at the majestic Taj Mahal Palace for 3 nights. It is a testament to luxury, elegance and timeless beauty.  Immersed in history and grandeur, this magnificent hotel has been welcoming guests since 1903, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in India.  Even though we arrived at the hotel in the wee hours the morning, the staff welcomed us with Diya aarti and garlands.
