Canada New England from Quebec City to New York
Cruising from Quebec City to New York was always something I wanted to do. I flew up to Quebec City the day before the cruise and stayed at Le Chateau which was on my bucket list and did not disappoint me. After checking into the hotel I went out and explored the city and had lunch. For Dinner I met two of my colleages at the hotel for dinner (we were going on the Joy the next day for our annual conferenace).We ate at Le Sam which was a lovely dinner.
In the morning after breakfast I took a cab to the ship and once onboard. I walaked the ship to get familiar with it and had lunch at the American Diner and had a lovley view of Quecbec City from the ship.
We visited Sagueney, Quebec, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Sydney Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and Halifax. All of these stops were new for me except for Halifax.
I took a tour in each stop to get a feel for the places I visited. I ate dinner in the main dining room except for two nights, one night at Teppanyaki which was the Hibatchi restaurant and then at the Texas Smokehouse where there was a band playing music.
Norwegian Cruise Line started with the open dining experience and a ship within a ship called The Heaven. There are several main dining rooms with a different atmosphere. All have the same menu. You go for dinner from5:30 till 9:00 and get seated. One also have many choices for specialty dining which comes with an extra charge. One can go with or without the perks which are the beverage package, specialty dining, wifi and a shore excursion credit.
The district Brewhouse, the food is complimentary as well as at the American Diner. One can go for a meal or just a snack. The overall experiences was lovely and casual.
