I cannot even begin to put into words how majestic and awe inspiring Alaska is.

Our 10 adventure began in Fairbanks.  From there we rode the Alaskan Railway to Denali National Park. On the train we sat in the famed domed cars and were lucky enough to see the peak of Denali Mountain emerge from the clouds.  We spent two amazing days in Denali exploring the park and were lucky enough to see Alaska's Big 5: bears, sheep, caribou, wolves and moose.  We also had the opportunity to meet an Iditarod champion and hold some of his husky pups. 

From there we made our way to Seward, Alaska on the famous and beautiful Seward Highway to join the Celebrity Millennium sailing southbound for 7 days.  We spent a day cruising through Hubbard Glacier and experienced the glacier calving.  From there it was on to Juneau.  Some of our group spent their day sightseeing while others went white water rafting at Mendenhall Glacier. Our next port of call was Skagway. Once again our group went in different directions.  A couple went mountain biking down the Klondike Highway, one went mountain climbing, a couple more went on a high speed power boat ride and a group went to a salmon bake and gold panning excursion.  After all the adventures there was still plenty of time for shopping and exploring the town.  Our next stop was Icy Straight.  Here we did zip lining, ATV adventures, and a native tour.  Our last port in Alaska was Ketchikan.  The weather was quite warm on the day we arrived and made for a lovely visit.  I went on a nature hike on one of the barrier islands, my husband and son went salmon fishing, another son went snorkeling and another went flying.  It was another fun filled and action packed day, but we still had plenty of time for shopping and exploring the town after of adventures.  The long days in all the ports were appreciated and allowed us to really enjoy our time.

We arrived in Vancouver on a bright, sunny morning and disembarked the ship quickly and efficiently.  We were flying out on the red eye that evening and were able to spend the day in Vancouver.  We started by walking over to the Flyover Canada experience at the port.  It is quite enjoyable and even if you are limited for time, it takes less than an hour to do.  After the Flyover experience our Landsea tour guide picked us up at Canada Place and took us on a 4 1/2 hour tour of Vancouver with stops at the Vancouver Lookout, Stanley Park, Granville Island and Gastown.  At the end of the tour we were taken to the airport, with our luggage.  I highly recommend the tour and transfer to the airport.  

Alaska is truly a magical place and the last frontier.  Our group age span was from 11 to 77 and Alaska offered something for everyone.  It was an amazing trip and I highly recommend it be added to your bucket list!
