Step Into the Untamed Majesty of Alaska

Domestically, Hawaii may hold our hearts, however, Alaska runs a very close second. It’s hard to top the breathtaking beauty, raw wilderness, and awe-inspiring grandeur of our 49th state. Known as the “Last Frontier,” Alaska is a land where nature reigns supreme — wide open, untouched, and utterly unforgettable.

Spanning over 322 million acres of public land, Alaska boasts some of the most diverse and dramatic landscapes in North America. Towering mountain ranges, ancient glaciers, lush coastal rainforests, and vast Arctic tundra all coexist within its borders. The state is home to eight national parks covering more than 56 million acres — that’s nearly 60% of the entire U.S. national park system! Among these is the iconic Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, where ice meets ocean in a dramatic symphony of natural wonder.

There’s no one-size-fits-all way to experience Alaska — because this state offers something for every type of traveler. Cruising is an extraordinary way to witness the majestic Inside Passage, where glacial fjords, breaching whales, and cascading waterfalls create a mesmerizing backdrop. Roundtrip cruises from Seattle or Vancouver offer a convenient, scenic, and often more cost-effective introduction to coastal Alaska, especially for first-time visitors. With careful selection of the right itinerary, you’ll enjoy world-class glacial viewing, charming frontier towns like Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, and potentially even step foot on glacial ice during a helicopter tour!

But to truly get a sense of Alaska’s soul, you must journey inland.

That’s where cruisetours shine — offering the best of both worlds. These land-and-sea adventures combine a one-way cruise (southbound from Anchorage {Whittier}, or Seward — or northbound from Vancouver) with guided land explorations by rail, coach, or self-drive. Imagine traveling deep into Denali National Park, where North America's tallest peak rises above vast tundra filled with moose, grizzly bears, caribou, and Dall sheep. Extend your trip even further north to Fairbanks for a chance to experience Alaska’s Gold Rush history — or travel south to Talkeetna, a quirky town that feels like a postcard from a bygone era.

Two of the most trusted names in Alaska cruising are Holland America Line and Princess Cruises. Both offer expertly crafted cruisetour packages that combine luxurious onboard experiences with exclusive wilderness lodges, immersive land tours, and decades of deep-rooted local expertise. Their long-standing presence in Alaska ensures seamless travel, unforgettable wildlife encounters, and insider access to some of the state's most remote and beautiful locations.

Alaska is also the ultimate destination for multi-generational travel. It offers something for everyone — grandparents marvel at the glaciers, parents relax and reconnect with nature, and kids revel in the wildlife, zip-lining adventures, and ranger-led programs. Whether you're seeking serenity or action, solitude or connection, Alaska delivers in ways few other destinations can.

From sailing past towering glaciers to riding glass-domed trains across open tundra, from spotting bears fishing for salmon to soaking in the silence of a midnight sun — Alaska isn't just a destination, it's a life-changing experience.

Let me help you plan an unforgettable Alaskan adventure — tailored to your interests, travel style, and dream experiences. Contact me today, and let’s explore the Last Frontier together!

Four girls in the Emerald Isle.
Mike SantaLucia organized our family trip to Ireland and did a superb job. He kept our interests in mind when planning out everything. His guidance and suggestions as to the choice of airlines, the hotel accommodations and places of interest to see helped us make the most out of our trip. He even recommended alternate activities if the weather was unsuitable on a particular day. We will definitely use him again.

Best trip of our lives
Mike was extremely helpful. He helped us plan our honeymoon to meet our specific needs, and found us the perfect vacation spot. He was always prompt in getting back to us to answer our questions, and touched base with us several times leading up to the trip with specific advice to make our travel easier. He also took the time to set up a package for our honeymoon that made it extra special. We were referred to Mike through a mutual friend, and we're glad we went through Mike to book our trip because it far exceeded our expectations and truly was the best trip of our lives.
