Caribbean Travel Expert

I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to travel when I was young and seeing new places, particularly the wonderful islands of the Caribbean, has also been a passion of mine. My favorite is Aruba, because of the warm and welcoming people and because the island is small, making it easy to get out and explore its various facets.

But there are wonderful experiences to be had on many other islands, from simply enjoying the crystal blue waters or lounging in a beach chair with a fruity umbrella drink, to tasting Blue Mountain coffee in Jamaica, swimming with pigs in the Bahamas, or having a mud bath inside a volcano in St. Lucia.

For the past 25 years, I have been privileged to help clients plan amazing vacations on the islands of their choice. I am an Aruba Certified Expert, Certified Sandals Specialist, Atlantis Ambassador, and a Jamaica Travel Specialist. But I also pass along my personal impressions and suggestions about how to enjoy the varied history, culture, and cuisine, the best deserted beaches, active sports, entertainment venues, and all the other interesting things to see and places to go in the unique islands of the Caribbean.

Travel is more complicated in many ways today than it used to be, but as a travel agent I have access to tools and information that is constantly updated. I pass along the latest tips about requirements and restrictions, so that my clients can enjoy trouble-free travel. My satisfaction comes from helping clients navigate all the logistics of a "perfect vacation."

I still love getting away to the Caribbean as often as possible, but when I'm not traveling, I thoroughly enjoy simply spending time outdoors with my husband and our Boston Terrier, Baloo.

Magical Trip

Great times in the Mexican Riveria

We have been using Shannon for 15 years. She has always done a great job arranging our travel. One time stands out when we had a huge winter storm. She gave us good advice about staying home a few extra days and rearranging our travel plans. As it turned out we didn't have to spend time snowed in at the hotel before being able to head out on our trip. I would recommend to anyone wanting to plan a trip to give Shannon a call.

Walt Disney World - Awesome Family Vacation

Shannon was life saver! She arrange our Walt Disney World family vacation while taking on all of the last minute requests from the 8 Adults and 6 children under the age of 12 with such effortlessness. Her Disney expertise are beyond words as she came up with additional recommendations for our time in the park that we were not aware of . Shannon was a blessing to work with as the only task that we had to do was to pack our bags (she even sent a suggested list for that as well)!

Best Trip of the Year!

I've worked with Shannon for over a decade. She's booked many vacations, from cold weather ski trips to sunny tropical vacations. The most recent trip (Feb 2020) to Jamaica was our 4th time, 3rd different resort. All was wonderful, Shannon ensures all details are addressed from meet and greet service, transportation to and from the resort, airlines, the works! I would urge anyone to use her services. She has knowledge about all of the resorts we have been to. We have never been even slightly disappointed.

COVID - Disney Fantasy cruise

Shannon was a wonder and a blessing! Our cruise trip was original planned /booked in early 2020 before COVID. She would check in with us periodically and once Disney travel restrictions were revised, Shannon immediately let us know what was available and requirements that was needed for us to have a safe cruise trip. Shannon was attentive to all our COVID questions for our cruise and what we would expect once we arrived at the cruise terminal. She help greatly in making this COVID trip less stressful for us. Our November 2021 - 7 days to Virgin Island and Castaway Cay cruise was wonderful - Shannon had prepared us well in what to expect and with her guidance we had no issues in boarding the Disney Fantasy. Social distancing was practice and CDC guidelines were followed by all Disney crew on board. Even with all the changes on the cruise ship - our trip was overall very relaxing and much need vacation time. I did miss dining with other passengers because of the social distance.

Vacation made easy!

Trip of a lifetime

We went on a tour of Ireland (our first trip abroad) and made our own plans before and after the tour. Thanks to Shannon the hotel stays before and after the tour were seamlessly linked, we had a king room at every stop (some other people had twins!) and all our questions were answered before we left home (and we had a lot of questions and there were questions we didn’t even know we had! She answered them all)

British Isles - 2025.

Shannon made the entire process from start to finish seem seamless. She was always available to us when we called and responded quickly to our questions - which were many. Bucket List item

Shannon was very thorough with designing our itinerary as discussed, our trip was fantastic. Everything was as communicated, really liked doing the 2 islands, Oahu and Maui and in that order. All hyped up starting vacation, so Oahu being the first stop was great, and then heading to Maui to relax on backend of vacation.

Amazing trip!

Hawaiian Holiday

The best

Shannon is everything we want in a travel consultant. She provides quick service and responds immediately to questions. She has planned our vacations and trips for the last 10 years. We have never been disappointed..we are always amazed at the things she comes up with. My children go to school in Colorado and they are always going back and forth. Shannon books all their travel and spring break trips. I have traveled all over the world with Shannon's help..Africa, Indonesia, Middle East, Europe and within the US. Awesome travel agent Shannon Throne!

Shannon is awesome! She is very responsive during the planning and preparation phase of vacation planning. She offers excellent suggestions for places to visit and things to do. In addition, after booking, she watches rates and reservations and has on occasion provided us with even better deals than when we originally book.
