Read MoreTelluride has long been one of my favorite winter destinations, and it is easy to see why. Nestled in the stunning San Juan Mountains of Colorado, it combines incredible skiing, a charming town, and luxury experiences that make a getaway feel effortless. If you are planning a trip, here are my top recommendations as a luxury travel advisor.
For accommodations, I love staying at Element 52 for its modern design and easy access to the slopes, or The Madeline for a full-service experience with beautiful mountain views and a spa onsite. If you prefer something more private, there are fantastic ski in ski out rentals that can accommodate your group perfectly.
Skiing in Telluride is absolutely special. The terrain is varied and expansive, offering options for all levels, and the views from the mountain are breathtaking. I always recommend using Black Tie Ski Rentals. They can handle at home equipment fittings and have your gear ready at your rental, which makes getting on the slopes completely seamless. On the mountain, Bon Vivant and Alpino Vino are my go-to spots for lunch. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is cozy, and both have incredible views of the slopes.
For dining off the mountain, Telluride offers an incredible variety of options. I love There Telluride for elevated local cuisine, Floradora for a vibrant and creative menu, Brown Dog Pizza for a casual and delicious bite, and Allred’s for a special night out with panoramic views. For those staying in a private rental, having a private chef in your villa is one of my favorite ways to enjoy gourmet meals without leaving your accommodations. It is a seamless way to indulge while spending quality time with your group.
When you want to slow down, the spa at The Peaks is a must. I often recommend scheduling a treatment mid-trip. It is the perfect way to relax after a morning skiing or exploring town.
Telluride also has a thriving art scene. Strolling the galleries on Main Street is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. You can explore local artists and find unique pieces to bring a little of Telluride home with you.
Whether you are focused on skiing, indulging in a spa day, savoring exceptional meals, or enjoying the local culture, Telluride has something for every type of traveler. With luxury accommodations, private chefs, Black Tie Ski Rentals for at home fittings, and endless ways to make your trip personal and effortless, it is one of my top winter recommendations.
