As Max Fisher once said, “Find something you love to do and do it for the rest of your life.” Upon retiring from corporate life, I realized the most enjoyable part of my career was working with the Marriott Vacation Club, assisting people with the “Vacation” side of their lives. I researched opportunities that would make me happy, bring fulfillment, and a sense of accomplishment in my retirement. Becoming a travel advisor checked all these boxes for me, and I haven’t looked back. 

I love to explore all amazing sights and experiences the world has to offer. I’ve found that cruising is a great way to see multiple locations and explore new destinations in one trip. For fellow explorers, I love to recommend Alaskan cruise tours and have booked several of them with Princess, Holland America, and Celebrity Cruise Lines. If a land tour is more your speed, I can recommend many sites rich in history, culture, and cuisine for you to explore. 

As a history buff myself, I especially love helping clients plan historical discovery tours. I once booked a trip for a client starting with Amsterdam, where I arranged a hotel on the river within walking distance to many museums including the Jewish Museum and the Van Gogh Museum.  From there, they traveled to Paris where they saw the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.  Next, they traveled to Prague for a history tour, and finally to Budapest before returning home. It was a dream itinerary for someone interested in European history and culture, and they enjoyed every minute of it.

As much as we thoroughly prepare and plan for your trip, sometimes the unexpected happens. Once, I helped a client that flew to Greece for a cruise with her two daughters. The cruise line would not let them board the ship due to concerns with their vaccination status.  Instead of leaving them with a wasted vacation, I worked with them to find other venues to enjoy. Despite missing the cruise, they ended up having a very enjoyable vacation. Best of all, I was able to get a refund from the cruise line.
