A Visit To Barcelona

Barcelona is an amazing city to visit whether you are spending a few days pre/post cruise or for a week. I spent two days in Barcelona in November of 2023 prior to our cruise on the Azamara Pursuit. We took the hop on hop off bus the two days we were there. One afternoon we went to the Sagrada Familia to see the church. We were not able to get in as we did not pre purchase the tickets. When we got there there was one ticket available for that day and it was later in the afternoon. Seeing the sites by bus was nice. It was a double decker bus and the top was open which made it very nice for picture taking.

Our second day there we got off the bus in the late afternoon down by the waterfront. Very nice area with outdoor restaurants. there was also a mariner there. The weather was beautiful while there. It was in the 60's and sunny.

We stayed at Le Meridien which is located in the heart of La Rambla. We ate at two different Spanish restaurants. My wife had Paella both nights and I had just the first night.

Two nights was not enough time. 4 nights would have been great. One of the sites I plans on visiting next time we go back is Monsserrat. It is about an hour from Barcelona. It is famous for the monistary. It is nestles in a picturesque mountain.

I would have some Euros on you to buy souvenirs.

From the hotel to the port for our cruise was about a 20 minute taxi ride no traffic.

Wonderful Family Cruise

Guiding Us Through A Cruise

Perfect Honeymoon Experience

Cruising

I had a wonderful experience working with Danny over several years. He is extremely knowledgeable and made the planning of my cruise vacations enjoyable and uncomplicated.
