Since becoming a travel advisor, one of my most treasured vacations was a yacht tour of Croatia, shared with close friends and family. Contrary to my usual habits, I deliberately refrained from researching Croatia beforehand, seeking genuine wonder at every juncture. And the country did not disappoint. Each island we anchored at emanated a distinct ambiance; the scenic vistas were breathtaking, and the locals, heartwarmingly hospitable. But the pinnacle of my trip wasn't the yacht experience; it was the intimate hotel nestled within the ancient walls of Diocletian's Palace. Those evenings, as my husband and I wandered the palace grounds, dined along the luminous waterfront, or simply savored a glass of wine, absorbing the historical ambience, were ineffably enchanting. That journey wasn't just about the places, but the memories etched into my heart: forging new friendships, plunging into the pristine Adriatic waters, or navigating a Croatian island on a motorbike. Every moment was an invaluable first, weaving a tapestry of cherished memories.
