My passion for Egyptian history started with a sixth-grade research paper on Abu Simbel. Nearly four decades later, I finally experienced it in person and it was just one unforgettable moment in a trip filled with so many awe-inspiring memories that have forever changed me.

Today, I specialize in helping travelers plan immersive and seamless journeys through Egypt, from the ancient wonders of Luxor to the vibrant streets of Cairo and beyond.

I recently completed the 11-night Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary with AmaWaterways, which included time in Cairo and a 7-night luxury Nile cruise aboard the AmaLilia. My firsthand experience included visits to the Giza Plateau, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Egyptian Museum, the Valley of the Kings, Coptic Cairo, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Temple of Horus, a visit to Philae Temple, Heisa Island, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and less-traveled gems like Dendera and the Temple of Hathor.

Along the way, I experienced Egypt during Ramadan, enjoyed high tea at the iconic Old Cataract Hotel at sunset, visited local Nubian communities, rode a camel near the pyramids, explored five tombs in one day, and stood in the golden light of Luxor Temple at sunset.
