Balkissa Abdoulaye

I established this agency in July 2021 for two main reasons: my passion for travel and my ongoing desire to help friends and family.

Born and raised in Francophone Africa, I was introduced to travel at a young age. At 18, I spent a month in Lyon, France. Through that adventure, I experienced harvest in a vineyard, camping in the Alps and river cruising where we stopped night after night in different little towns for an evening with the locals. That was the beginning of my desire to see more, to experience more. Although I didn`t have the luxury to travel at will, I was fortunate to have been to many West African countries, including Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Nigeria and Morocco in North Africa. I also visited Belgium (Namur, Bruges, Brussels, Ostend) and France (Lyon, Dijon, Paris, Le Mans, Macon and Strasbourg). Recently, I went on a European River Cruise with AmaWaterways on the AmaLea, from Hungry to Germany through Slovakia and Austria. Why? Because I want to experience it first hand to learn all I can to better advise my clients on what to do and avoid.

I enrolled in a Travel Advisor Certification program in the Summer of 2021, and Prospect Travel was born right after. It quickly became evident to me that this is the beginning of something great and big! I am also a Jamaica Travel Specialist, an AmaWaterways and Avalon Cruises Certified Specialist.
