My Dreams of Tahiti Windstar small yacht adventure began exactly how I had always imagined a French Polynesia vacation should start: slowly, beautifully, and surrounded by water. Before boarding my Windstar cruise, I took the 45-minute ferry ride from Papeete to Moorea, and it was the perfect introduction to island life. The Papeete to Moorea ferry is one of the most scenic transfers in the South Pacific. As Tahiti faded into the distance and Moorea’s lush green mountains came into view, I felt the stress of everyday life melt away.
