While recently exploring Paris with my family, we decided to dedicate one day outside the city to a truly magical experience, Disneyland Paris. Located just 45 minutes from central Paris, this European Disney destination was an unforgettable adventure for all of us, and especially for my two Disney-loving daughters. What makes Disneyland Paris special? For starters, there are two incredible parks side by side: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. Much like the layout in Anaheim, CA, both are walkable and seamlessly connected. Perfect for park hopping with the family. From the moment we walked through the gates, it felt like stepping into another world… it was very familiar, but unique. The Sleeping Beauty Castle here is stunning and unlike any other Disney castle. You can walk through to get to Fantasyland and even walk beneath it to discover a dragon.  A hidden gem you won’t find in any other Disney Park!

We were impressed by the Crush’s Coaster, a "Finding Nemo" themed ride that looks cute but delivers a fast, spinning thrill ride that had us laughing and screaming the whole way through. It quickly became a family favorite!

Other must-rides:

Big Thunder Mountain – longer and wilder than in Orlando, FL. It’s known to be the best one! It did not disappoint.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril – Yes, this coaster turns you upside down.

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force – a high-energy coaster with plenty of twists. We were caught off guard by this one.

You’ll also find familiar favorites like Ratatouille, Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more. And for food lovers, Disneyland Paris adds a French twist with croissants, macarons, and other local delights.

We stayed from park opening to closing and were impressed by the evening fireworks show. This show is brand new, in the last few months called Disney Tales of Magic.

Picture this: water fountains, drones, music, projections that stretch down Main Street, and a level of immersion that felt like Disney magic turned up a notch. 

It's shaping up to be a must-visit addition for future Disney travelers. Whether you're a lifelong Disney fan or planning your first magical getaway, Disneyland Paris offers a truly unique experience, a perfect blend of classic Disney enchantment with European charm.
