What You Need to Know Before You Go

There’s a new sheriff in town at Walt Disney World Resort®, but it’s one you know quite well. His name is Woody, and he’s hanging with his buddies Buzz Lightyear, Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, Slinky Dog and many more at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ newest land, Toy Story Land.

Newly opened in June 2018, Toy Story Land is an imaginative 11-acre theme park experience where both the toys and the rides are extra large, making you feel as small as one of Andy’s toys. But that’s a fun feeling in this overgrown play room and backyard, where the toys have all the fun. Here’s what will be waiting when you and your crew venture into this eye-popping park inspired by Pixar’s much-loved franchise.

Awesome Rides

Toy Story Land’s new rides put your family right in the middle of the action. On the Slinky Dog Dash roller-coaster-style ride, you’ll twist and coil across Andy’s backyard, getting a bird’s-eye view of the entire new park. Next, head over to the Alien Swirling Saucers for a wild, spinning interstellar experience inside a new play set Andy got at Pizza Planet. Watch out for the giant claw or else you might get grabbed!

The excitement is also dialed up a notch at Toy Story Mania!®, a 3-D virtual world filled with mind-blowing carnival games. Onboard your own Carnival Ride Tram and armed with a spring-action shooter, you’ll venture through five different games: Hamm & Eggs, Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts, Green Army Men Shoot Camp, Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers and Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery. Who will have the highest score at the end? Bring the family and find out.

Food is Fun

Like we mentioned earlier, this entire park is made to make you feel like one of the toys, a feeling you’ll definitely get at Woody's Lunch Box. Here, Andy turned his giant lunchbox on its side to create a remarkable picnic area for his green army men. Among life-sized toys, brightly-colored tables and larger-than-life Christmas lights, your family can feast on grilled sandwiches and tater-tot nachos washed down with fun drinks and ice cream floats.

Meet the Characters

It wouldn’t be a Disney experience without meeting the characters, and Toy Story Land is no different. Woody, Buzz and Jessie are always out and about, greeting guests and posing for pics throughout park. You’ll also hear the thunderous roll of awesome drum sequences from the Green Army Drum Corp echoing across the space.

Kids who want to join the army will have their chance at Toy Story Land. Sarge and the Green Army Patrol hold interactive boot camps every day, giving your little ones a chance to join fun, training session that test their mettle and see if they have what it takes to become a true cadet. Those who pass muster are officially recognized as a defender of Andy’s backyard!
