Our trip proved to be the perfect example of why you need a travel agent. During the first couple days of our trip there were numerous issues: with room keys not working, room service delays in the magnitude of hours, an absurdly long check-in process to find our rooms, and ultimately mechanical issues that were not working within our room. After spending a few hours cumulatively with hotel staff over the first two days, we had had enough. We contacted Meghan and gave her a summary of the issues we were experiencing. Even with us in Mexico, she was able to reach out to management at the hotel, and within hours the issues in our room were fixed and we had a manager regularly in touch with us to ensure the rest of our trip went seamlessly. Honestly, without having her as a travel agent in our corner, I fear the rest of our trip would’ve been marred with periodic issues that would’ve kept us away from our relaxing vacation. After he first few email exchanges with Meg, I realized she was a person I would enjoy working with on family trips and weekend getaways, because of her knowledge but more so because of the questions she asked.
