I have been in the travel industry for 19 years. I started when I went abroad to donate 1/2 of my liver to my dying brother. Once I returned I couldn't work and so decided to follow my dream of becoming a travel agent. I specialized in Medical tourism for the first 5 years and then added weddings, individual, groups and all fun travel. I was also a flight attendant which gives me that extra edge. I love to travel! Barbados and Cancun are my favorite destinations so far but there are so many places to see...I am just starting to explore! Barbados, I believe, is my favorite destination. I have been many times. It is safe to walk around and explore. The people are lovely, helpful and welcoming.
There are many wonderful places to stay and because it's so safe you don't have to be at an All Inclusive in fact it would be a shame if you didn't try some of the many restaurants....so delicious..roti, fresh fish and seafood, flying fish and Mauby (local drink from Ackee tree bark).
One of the must do's is snorkel or scuba to the sunken ships. The clarity of the water is amazing. We actually did snorkel our way out from Carlisle Bay beach and met so many turtles on the way it made it magical.
Oistins fish market and fish fry is a must. Every Friday night all the locals come together to party. There is entertainment etc. however you can come here anytime of the week for lunch or dinner and have fresh fish, Mac pie, and fresh vegetables for apporx $15USD.
So much to see and do!!

The flight was delayed in Ottawa due to weather but once we boarded I received a big hug from Jo-Ann who happened to be the flight attendant as well. How fortunate..it seemed that it started whole new service as all the passenger then expected a hug as they boarded. Jo-Ann always a good sport gave a lot of hugs that day. This trip wasn't just a trip. My mom was born in Holland and was turning 80 years of age and we decided to send her back to Holland to see all her brother and sisters as they are all getting up their in age. What my Mom did not know is that all five children and spouses were fallowing her to celebrate her birthday with her siblings. It was to be a big surprise.. This was such a special trip and amazing.
