Expertise in planning custom travel

I have been an avid traveler for many years, and bring more than 20 years experience in building, selling, and escorting travel. I have always loved to explore the world. When I was 17 I got a job so I could buy a plane ticket to Phoenix. I was hooked. All extra money I had in college was spent on travel. I then planned a trip for friends to travel through Florida and realized this is what I need to do for everyone. It's not just a job, it's my lifestyle.

My main expertise is in Europe, with nearly 30 trips under my belt, including multiple trips to the UK, Croatia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and more. I also backpacked through Europe for four weeks at age 18, riding the rails and staying in hostels. I have also traveled to 42 states including multiple trips to Alaska & Hawaii. I have also been to 'off the beaten path' destinations like Kenya, Tanzania, Japan and Costa Rica. I have the on-site experience to properly help you plan your next trip to the destination of your dreams.

Fun facts... In my free time I'm also wrangling my three kiddos ages 14, 10 and 10 (Yes, twins). I play volleyball, love to spend time outdoors; hiking, swimming or gardening and I absolutely love sunshine. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I really know my way around a tool shop and finished my entire basement pretty much by myself. I also like to travel ; )

Croatia, the pearl of the Adriatic

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Croatia, the pearl of the Adriatic

I cannot say enough good things about Croatia. You have GOT to see this place. It's a gorgeous mixture of turquoise water and a backdrop of craggy hills spotted with palm trees and olive groves for definite Mediterranean feel. I hope you like boats. With more than 1,000 islands to explore, it's a water-lovers paradise.

It's an ancient place, with a very tumultuous history - but today is peaceful, beautiful and friendly everywhere you go. As a relatively new member of the EU, It's a great destination and also lends itself well to those who like to treat themselves with a little extra opulence. There are so many amazing cities in Europe, and one of my top three favorites is Dubrovnik. Let's get you there so you can see why for yourself.

One of my favorite national parks in the world is Plitvice Lakes national park, and while it's not easy to get to, it's so worthwhile. You can't even believe a place like this is real.

On my most recent trip to Croatia I got to see a lot more of the north, including the capital Zagreb and a few stunning coastal cities like Opatia and Zadar. The daily treat of my trip was being able to walk around these beautiful cities in the morning and then take a dip in the cool Adriatic in the afternoon. What a delight. And the water is SO CLEAR! It was amazing to swim out and still be able to see the ground beneath my feet.

I also spent a little time in Slovenia and would love to see more of Lake Bled and the capital of Ljubljana. (It's ok, I couldn't pronounce it either - call me and I'll tell you how.

Croatia is a hidden gem and is a destination worth exploring. From high end hotels and private sightseeing to delicious food and excellent guides, it's a dream location for a luxury vacation.

Melissa was a great choice for planning our family trip to London! She is very knowledgeable, easy to work with, responded to questions/concerns very quickly, and gave honest and sincere advice/recommendations. Before we met her, I was trying to plan everything on my own and didn't realize all of the benefits of using a travel agent. We will work with her on any future travel plans!

We have booked two trips with Melissa: Greece and Costa Rica. Both trips were wonderful! It was so nice to be on vacation and know that all transportation and itineraries were already planned out. We were able to relax and enjoy the places and the people.
Michelle - Greece ~ Europe
Melissa handles all of the paperwork very well. She is prompt with emails. Even though there may be quite of few questions, she is answering all of them well.
Jason - England ~ Europe
