Hi there!

On May 2025, I earned the Certified Mexico Specialist designation from The Travel Institute. The Travel Institute’s destination program covers geography, history, attractions, accommodations, cuisine, transportation, and unique cultural attractions of Mexico.  Comprehensive, thorough curriculum and subsequent testing assures that I’m well equipped with the knowledge necessary to create memorable vacations for travelers to Mexico.  In addition, the designation requires to meet experiential visits to Mexico and advanced vacation planning.

I have personal experience visiting the Riviera Maya, Mexican Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera (Los Cabos, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta).  In February 2002 to celebrate our wedding my husband and I took a round trip in the Chepe (train from the city of Chihuahua city to Los Mochis, Sinaloa).  We stopped at the Barranca del Cobre (Cooper Canyon) to enjoy the breathtaking views.  The train journey was amazing with awe inspiring views.  The train passed by an area that was so green and tropical.  The last stop prior to return from that trip was Topolobampo a port in the Gulf of California.

We have visited several occasions the Riviera Maya as a family with young kids.  We took the kids to Holbox, Isla Mujeres, Valladolid, Merida, Tulum, Progreso, Puerto Morelos and archaeological sites nearby. In the last years I have taken my teenage daughters to Cancun, Cozumel, the Mexican Riviera and we have enjoyed our trips there and felt safe. 

I have experience traveling 6 years with my husband as a couple, then as a family with young kids, and in the last years with teenage children.
