Hi! I’m Whitney, a travel advisor born and raised in DFW, Texas, and now living in Fort Worth with my husband and our three wonderful children — Addison, Keller, and Cooper.

My love for travel began at a young age through family vacations to Walt Disney World and along the Florida coast. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to experience a variety of destinations, and that passion continues as I now share the world with my own kids.

Harmony of the Seas: A Vacation Story

From the moment I stepped aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, I knew I was about to make memories that would last a lifetime. This ship is truly a floating city — packed with adventure, entertainment, and luxury for all ages.
I stayed in an Oceanview Junior Suite, and it was incredible. The extra space, walk-in closet, upgraded bathroom, and private balcony made such a difference — especially for longer sailings. I loved waking up to the view of the ocean right outside my room, sipping coffee on the balcony while the ship gently cruised toward our next destination.
Every day started with a delicious breakfast — usually at Windjammer Café, where the spread had something for everyone, or sometimes Coastal Kitchen, which I had access to as a suite guest. The service and quality were top-notch, and it really set the tone for each day.
There’s no shortage of adventure on board, and I made sure to try it all — the zip line, the FlowRider surf simulator, and even the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story dry slide that still gives me chills! When I needed a breather, the Solarium — the adults-only retreat — was the perfect place to recharge with a cocktail and panoramic views.
And for families like mine? Harmony of the Seas is a dream. My kids were obsessed with Splashaway Bay, the vibrant water park designed just for them. There’s a splash zone, mini water slides, and plenty of space for safe water fun. They also loved Adventure Ocean, Royal Caribbean’s incredible kids’ club. It’s totally free and filled with age-appropriate programming — science experiments, themed parties, arts and crafts, and even talent shows. It gave them the freedom to make friends and explore, while giving me a chance to enjoy a little downtime too.
When it came to food, every meal was an adventure in itself. Some of my favorite dining experiences included: Jamie’s Italian – hearty, homemade-style pasta and warm atmosphere, 150 Central Park – elegant and intimate, perfect for a special night out, Chops Grille – consistently excellent steaks and seafood, El Loco Fresh and, Sorrento’s Pizza for easy, delicious bites anytime.
Evenings on board were just as exciting. We saw Grease: The Musical live (my kids were singing along!), marveled at the AquaTheater’s high-diving show, and enjoyed game shows, karaoke, and live music all around the ship. There were also movies under the stars, glow parties, and interactive experiences that made each night feel like a celebration.
Harmony of the Seas is more than just a cruise — it’s a floating vacation destination that brings families, couples, and solo travelers together through unforgettable experiences. I’ve sailed it, loved it, and would go back in a heartbeat.

We walked thru the Pikes Public Market Center, had a great lunch at Lowell's Seafood on the river then walked all the way to the Space Needle. Then we toured the Chihuly Garden and Glass. We've been hump back whale watching and also got to see some sleeping sea lions. We also hiked to a beautiful glacier and a waterfall. God is so good and this was an amazing trip!!!

There were two excursions we went on that were incredible. On the deadliest catch excursion they fed bald eagles and we were swarmed by about 150 bald eagles feeding. It was amazing! It was so great! The entire, start to finish trip! The DVC room was everything we wanted it to be. It was brand new and spacious. The staff was welcoming and it did feel like coming home to us. Disneyland is our happy place and we can’t wait to get back. The food was amazing and a highlight was the Magic Happens parade. We’ve seen it once before, but we got a Main Street view this time around and it was perfect.

Our trip was so much fun!! We ended up adding Epcot which was our favorite! We stayed for their extended hours one night which was sooo nice to be there with less people. And we loved the new Guardians ride!! We loved the Florida keys snorkeling trip! I would definitely love to go back and explore more of the Keys sometime. Miami was nice too and my son LOVED the InterMiami game. It was absolutely an incredible trip! Back from vacation and what a vacation it was! We did EVERYTHING!! Universal, Disney World, Dinner shows, character experiences, arcade night and even a day at the beach!! While the weather was not what I was hoping for it was still a great vacation with so many memories. Hailey absolutely loves roller coaster and rides. She is tall enough to ride most things so she was extra excited. Hailey also loved the child swap at Universal because that meant she got to ride the rides twice in a row! We also ran into several characters along the way in Universal and Disney. Our resort was nice and had a great pool (that we didn’t have time to use) and a cute little surfer bar! This was our first time staying at a Universal resort as we usually stay at Disney. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at Endless Summer Resort!

We had a great time and thank you for all your help! I think I enjoyed Epcot the most while my daughter loved the Magical Kingdom most overall (although she loved piloting the Millenium Falcon at Hollywood Studios). My wife and I thought the Guardians of the Galaxy ride was spectacular and unlike anything we’ve done before. We almost had Riya convinced to do Tron. However you could see the ride as you approached and there was no convincing her after that. As vegans we did very well. The Disney website about plant based options made planning easy. We picked restaurants more for food offerings than character experiences but Riya liked meeting princesses more than I thought she would and lit up at meeting Mickey and friends at our last breakfast. We probably had more tater tot’s and vegan sausage than we had planned for, but again overall did very well.
