Spain eats late, so I arrange early dining for younger children so the adults can have a proper dinner.
  
  
• Food & Wine Lovers: The food and wine are the whole point, so the reservation calendar comes first and everything else gets built around it. The best travel agents for Spain know the tables that do not take walk-ins. • Off The Beaten Path: You want a Spain that looks nothing like what everyone else came back with. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How different are Spain's regions, and does it matter which ones I choose?
A: It matters a lot. The Basque Country, Andalucía, Castile, and Catalonia feel like separate countries in terms of food, architecture, and pace. I spend time early in every conversation understanding what you are after, because the right answer for one client is often the wrong answer for another.

Q: How do I handle the Alhambra? I keep hearing it is difficult to get into.
A: Without a reserved slot, you will not get in during peak months. I book Nasrid Palace entry early, often six to eight weeks out, and time the visit for early morning before the groups.

Q: Is the AVE high-speed rail worth it, or should we just fly?
A: For most city pairs the train is the better option. Madrid to Seville is about two and a half hours, Madrid to Barcelona under three. You arrive city center, skip the airport, and the ride is comfortable. I build it into most itineraries as the default.
