<p>I've just returned from an extraordinary journey through Greece, hosting clients as we explored both the mainland and the enchanting islands of the Aegean.  Here are a few highlights from that journey.</p>
<p><strong>Athens</strong> is full of surprises, offering a perfect mix of history, culture, and hidden gems.  From world-class museums and iconic landmarks to charming restaurants, boutique shops and secluded parks - even a funicular! - there's so much to experience.  I'd recommend at least three days to truly enjoy the city.</p>
<p>A day trip to <strong>Corinth</strong> is a wonderful addition to your time in Athens.  Though now a quiet countryside village, standing among its ancient ruins makes it easy to imagine the grandeur of this once-great city.    </p>
<p>Our three-day cruise took us to four breathtaking islands and included a morning in <strong>Kusadasi, Turkey</strong>, where we marveled at the magnificent ruins of Ephesus.  A special treat in this region was witnessing the artistry behind Turkish rug-making - and even having a chance to take home one of these exquisite pieces.</p>
<p>Each island stop revealed its own unique character: <strong>Mykonos, Santorini, Patmos and Crete</strong> offered a wonderful blend of history, vibrant culture, and stunning scenery.</p>
<p>Back on the mainland, we traveled north to <strong>Kalambaka, Meteora, Thessaloniki, and Phillipi.  </strong>Meteora & Kalambaka may well be among the most beautiful places on Earth, especially in the springtime.  Towering rock formations crowned with centuries-old monasteries create an awe-inspiring landscape.</p>
<p><strong>Thessalonik</strong>i pulses with energy, thanks in part to its thriving college scene, while <strong>Phillipi </strong>-now an archaeological site- lets visitors walk the Appian Way, stand near the Coliseum where gladiators once fought, and even see the ruins of the Roman prison where the Apostle Paul was once held captive.</p>
<p>Greece is a land of history and breathtaking beauty, and this journey was truly unforgettable.</p>
