The Louvre (Paris)
One of the world’s most famous landmarks is the main star in the first scene of the movie. The Louvre, in Paris, serves as the backdrop for where security guards from Wayne Enterprises delivered a briefcase to Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman.
Villa Cimbrone (Ravello, Italy)
For the real “Wonder Woman” experience, stay at the Villa Cimbrone, where director Patty Jenkins shot scenes for Wonder Woman’s home island, Themyscira. Be amazed by the view of the Amalfi Coast!
Matera, Italy
Located in Southern Italy, Matera is another location that serves as the backdrop for Themyscira. Matera’s historical center, Sassi, includes a Park and Rupestrian churches, and it has been considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
Palinuro, Italy
Palinuro is just one of a few beach locations in Italy the production crew used in pivotal scenes, like where Steve Trevor crashes his plane, and soon after his rescue, a battle between the Amazonians and trespassing German soldiers takes place.
Castel del Monte (Apulia, Italy)
Just three hours from Naples, Castel del Monte serves as the fortress that protected the “God Killer,” a sword that could defeat mythological gods such as Aries, God of War. Wonder Woman visits the 13-century castle before leaving her home island Themyscira.
Tower Bridge (London)
After leaving, Themyscira, this is the first major attraction Wonder Woman sees as she and Steve Trevor arrive in London and sail under the world-renowned bridge.
Trafalgar Square (London)
Steve Trevor and Diana Prince make their way through the busy Trafalgar Square after arriving in London, and then to Sicilian Avenue where she trades in her Amazonian gear for a more feminine look at a local boutique.
King’s Cross Station (London)
Yep, there was real truth in the production crew traveling to King’s Cross Station to capture British soldiers heading out of the train station to the frontlines of battle with German soldiers. In reality, the station served the same purpose during World War I. How cool is that?!
Arundel Castle (West Essex, England)
Although it was built in 1068, the medieval castle was restored between the 18th and 19th centuries. Receive an inside view of the castle that Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman try to infiltrate during General Erich Ludendorff’s big party.
Tilbury Fort (Essex, England)
England’s Tilbury Fort is the setting where the Turkish Military gets ready to launch a major strike using biochemical weapons designed by Doctor Poison. It’s also the site for a major fight scene with soldiers and Wonder Woman’s mysterious nemesis. We’re not spilling the deets… you’ll have to see the movie to find out who it is!
